Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at zenstonemassagetherapy@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Prior to your visit, we ask that you complete all online intake forms that were emailed to you. We recommend bringing all relevant test or diagnostic imaging results if applicable. You can email electronic copies to us or bring the paper copy to be added to your file.

During your visit, your therapist will ask you a series of history questions regarding your condition and perform a thorough assessment. These are important information for the therapist to develop a safe and effective treatment to help you get better. Hands on massage treatment will follow after history intake questions and assessment. At the end of the session, your RMT will provide you with home care remedy to enhance your massage result.

During the treatment,  you may experience more, less or no soreness with certain techniques. Please always inform your therapist if pressure is too much for you.

After your treatment, it's completely normal to possibly feel sore or tender. Your body is just taking its time to get used to the new changes.

A warm shower, heat, hydration, gentle stretching is recommended for post-treatment soreness. Any noticeable tenderness should start to subside in a couple days.

Debit, Credit (Master, Visa, Amex), Cash, E-transfer

We will process your insurance claim at the time of your appointment. Your coverage amount will be paid directly to the clinic and the remaining will be billed to you. When completing your online intake form, include your insurance policy and ID number under “Insurance Details.” Direct billing consent form is also required.

Please note there may be instances where we are unable to direct bill your insurance company for various reason such as online service interruption, insurance policy direct  eligibility and etc. For instance please be prepared to pay the treatment cost in full. Zenstone is an independently operated clinic and does not have access to information regarding the specifics of your insurance policy. Please contact your insurance provider if you have any questions regarding your policy.

We are now accepting new ICBC patients. We offer direct billing to ICBC for massage treatment only. Additional user applies to all ICBC massage treatments.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy.

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged for the full cost of your treatment to the card on file.

Late arrival policy

Please arrive on time or a few minutes prior to your appointment, as our clinic and RMTs will not be able to extend your treatment time due to late arrival for any reason. A extension of the treatment will result a delay for the following patient or will cut into our RMTs’ cleaning time in between appointments, thus we will not be able to extend treatment time beyond the scheduled slot.

We are always looking for anyone who is passionate about healing to join our journey together.

Now hiring RMTs in Richmond and Buranby.
