Our therapeutic hot stone session is different than a typical hot stone spa treatment in that rather than balancing the stones on your body, the stones are used to massage with.
Therapeutic hot stone is a type of massage therapy which combines the benefits of hydrotherapy with manual massage.
The heat from the stones helps warm the muscles and bring circulation to the area being treated. This can be beneficial in reducing muscle tension, pain and discomfort. The firmness of the stones can allow the therapist to work more deeply in a way that may not be possible using hands only. The warmth of the stones often feels comforting to people who tend to feel cold.
Hot stone massage is offered by our RMTs, If your insurance covers registered massage therapy, this massage is covered.
